So far, our teams have traveled to College Station, Houston, and Dallas for this season's competitions! The team is enjoying their first weekend off from competitions since our Mock Meet on January 21st. To sum up the season so far, we have had tremendous success in every competition, as our team's are consistently bringing home the coveted cookie cake trophies and multiple members have placed on several events and All-Around!
The highlight of the season this far was the incredible opportunity to meet the Men's National Team, which included Sam Mikulak, at HNI! Sam is a two-time Olympian and has earned several USAG and NCAA titles. He has been an idol in the gymnastics world for several years, and we were incredibly honored to share the competition floor with him and the rest of the National Team.
The dedication our athletes show in the gym is really paying off in competitions, and we
are proud of every single one of them. Several of our members are brand new to the sport, yet they have executed routines incredibly well as if they have been doing this their whole life. As we all know, gymnastics is a difficult sport. Whether you're three years old or in your twenties, being a gymnast requires incredible mental and physical strength, and for these college students to jump into such a difficult sport and then compete four
months later is truly inspiring!
Our next meet will be hosted by Baylor Gymnastics on February 24th, so be on the lookout for more details! Only our women will be competing in this competition, but the Men's team will be there as well to cheer them on.
